words to describe the art works

LOUISE BOURGEOIS: metal, jump, broken

AI WEIWEI: bicycle, connect, round

STELARC: ear, grow,variant

The three pictures

This is a water-colour painting, showing a fragile balance between the flowers and the little bird, which means once the bird flies away, or the flowers drop one more petal, this balance can no more exist. Influenced by the oriental cultrue, I found myself have developed a deep affection of this clean, calm and peaceful style, and the elements from nature as well. And this is the best piece of creating such atmosphere that I have ever had.

This is a museum named Yusuhara Wooden Bridge Museum designed by kengo kuma, a Japanese achitect. It is a connection of two public facilies, but can also be used as an accommodation or a workshop. The most distinguished part of this architecture is the structural system which composes of small parts, originated from the cantilever structure often applied in traditional architecture in Japan and China.  I am really fascinated with the tidy and clean feeling brought by the wooden architecture.

This is the St John's Cathedral in Brisbane. It's a new cathedral built in 1950's, but it's a Gothic architecture.  The reason why I took this photo is that I was impressed by the colorful light shadow on the columns. Gothic architecture may create a stern atmosphere. However, this colorful light from the stained glass produces a sense of hope. It's just like a rainbow shining through the darkness.
